It depends on the type of event. There are typically three types of performances: stationed, walkaround, and full show.
For a public event, such as a street festival or community gathering, Jonah would be stationed at a location and would perform 1-3 effects for attendees as they approach. This allows the magic to be customized for the individual.
For a private event, like a wedding, birthday, or a party, Jonah can either be stationed at a location or move through the attendees, offering 1-3 effects as they socialize.Events for an organization, such as a historical society, library, or senior center, usually benefit from a full show between 30-60 minutes.
While we do recommend a certain performance based on the type of event, you can request something different or combine performances to suit your vision.

A wedding, for example, would be different from a pirate street fair. For that matter, one wedding might be very different from another. -
Yes. All material will be family friendly, unless otherwise requested.
Family friendly is different from a children’s show. Some material might have adult-level complexity while other pieces play on child-like wonder.Family friendly shows do not include violence, disturbing imagery, or profanity.

Currently, Jonah offers three hour-long performances for audiences between 15-50 people.
Ghost Stories of New England
This one-hour, historically accurate show features local, real ghost stories. Each New England state is represented with an authentic story of ghost sightings accompanied with magical effects. The emphasis of this show is on the stories and the telling, with the magic adding ambiance. Perfect for libraries, historical societies, and special interest groups.
The Unexpected
The Unexpected explores how our minds play tricks on us and then pushes us to follow our dreams. This show is similar to a theatre play, offering a story, big laughs, and lingering questions.
Halloween Year Round *
This R-rated performance is for audiences who love being freaked out by supernatural, body horror, and crime stories. Poe and Lovecraft influences abound!
The magic in this show is only used in this show and spooky events.
These shows have the option of being paired with extra magic for your event.

Jonah Knight has been a touring musician, playwright & theatre director, and a pro wrestling referee. He currently lives in Leominster, Massachusetts.
His magic doesn't try to trick or fool. He tells stories while presenting unexplainable moments with joyful enthusiasm (well, the spooky shows have a different type of enthusiasm...).
